Wing Surfing

Take a new look at an old favourite with wing surfing lessons at our school where we emphasize balance and technique over strength, which allows students to learn fast and easily. Your instructor will be following in a sea kayak or shadowing you on a windsurf board to maximize the lesson.

Level 1

Beginning with a beach simulation, we teach you all you need to know about equipment prep and making the launch before moving into the water and learning techniques for starting, sail recovery, accelerating, turning the board and moving up and down wind.

1 x 1.5 hr courses

Level 2

Slip into harness and take your windsurfing to the next level. We teach the speed skills essential for learners to move up into jibes and deepwater starts. We give comprehensive tuition on how to read wind pattern, managing your sail, using the harness and essential foot placement for planning at speed.

1 x 1.5 hr courses

Level 3

Our advanced level and final step of the learning process. Learn how to make Sturns, rail turns and downwind speed turns used in racing. Once you master the basics, we move up to a pro board and use the foot straps to demonstrate speed work and direction changes under power with the harness.

1 x 1.5 hr courses

Private

Learn at your own pace or work on your skills in a one to one session, private lessons are available at all levels with your own instructor and class times to fit your schedule. Maximum two students per class, the second student receives a 50% discount. Private lessons for children charged at 50%.
